Alphabet Review // Katakana

Let’s not forget to practice the basics in the midst of study for your exam. We have dove into some complicated vocab and sentence structure, however, every day we should study a few rows if not more of katakana.

This video is a classic – but great for memorizing your alphabets in Japanese.

Like and Dislike

Letting someone know what you like and dislike is important in a different language. Let’s say you like hot tea, but you don’t like hot spicy food.

Practice saying like and dislike (with the particle ga か with this short video.

Do you like sushi? Yes, I like sushi.

Do you like music? Yes, I like music.

It’s Friday, People // 金曜日 きんようび

Get pumped up – it’s Friday. Since we are too busy in class getting ready for our exams and can’t fit in fun silly videos like this one, I thought I’d share it with you on the blog! Check it out and see if you can pick up on any words you know in Japanese!

Also, remember to practice your Katakana and Hiragana for 5 minutes. I say this because if it were me, I’d really need to study a little each day, but I know I like to procrastinate. ANd the LAST thing I want to do on my weekend is study!!! I’m realistic! HOWEVER – I really wanted to learn Japanese when I was in high school so I tried to practice small amounts each week. Keep your goals in mind and is 5 minutes worth it to reach a life goal? I think so.

Have a great weekend and see you in class next week!
